Foreword for a new start

Foreword for a new start

Charles Frederick Worth was the first designer, who sewn his label into the garments he created, started in 1858. Since then, garments changed a lot and fashion played a big role, as society evolved overtime and new moral standards been set. Such as wearing pants at all or short skirts became appropriate for women in the 1970’s.

Although these revolutions are over, I personally think there is still a lot in fashion, what it could do for our society. It just needs new ways and the new way is, that to encourage the producers to be more conscious about the world and environment and the waste that the industry is making. Did you know that in 2023, the fashion industry produced a startling 97 million tons of waste annually, of which 18 million were leftover textiles, 2.5 million were chemical waste, and 3 million were packaging materials. Nevertheless, to say, these statistics are dreadful, still the population is at 8 billion and all these people need clothing.

What to do? Raise awareness at every opportunity, that fast fashion is bad for our future and for the future of our kids and for all the species that are living on this planet. Therefore all of my garments are made of 100% Cotton with an ÖKO-TEX Standard 100 certification and my printed textiles are also produced in eco-friendly way: “Green printing technology with minimized consumption of water, energy and chemical substances” (source: www.ctnbee.com). And I don’t stop here and go beyond. I’m bringing the clothes that I make to a different level. I’m going to create couple of ‘Concept-Collections’ as I call them and raise my voice about a social conflict, that concerns me – doing all this through my garments.

So stay tuned as my first mini-collection will be revealed very soon, and I named it: The Black Collection. Follow the #triszdesign on social media and hit the like and share button to help with my mission.
